I call Mayu’s alpaca halfie a halfie because it is the perfect size alpaca scarf. In fact, it is half scarf, half shawl, meaning it is the ultimate winter accessory serving multiple purposes. From October through April, I rarely leave the house without one of these halfies. I wear charcoal and black and well, I have a brown one too — I just can’t get enough of these halfies. They protect my head AND my neck during snowy Chicago winters, shield my face from the blustering wind and serve as the perfect shawl once I settle into the office. 
Truth be told, I can’t think of a more practical piece. Oh, and I should mention that the Zig Zag stitch is absolutely stunning. The fringed alpaca halfie is a classic Mayu staple. We keep this style around for a reason…
