Behold! Our second teaser photo for Mayu‘s fall collection! The photo above features Mari (one of our lovely artisans) with her new knitting needles that she had specially made in the village. Knitting needles that thick are not usually utilized in Chiquian, Peru, so she had them made by one of the carpenters in town. she was very excited to start using them so she could knit one of our newest designs. They will be used for one of the new ear flap hats (in Peru, they call them chullo hats) that we will have for this fall. Even with these obstacles, artisans like Mari remain committed and motivated in Mayu’s efforts!
